Not a long hike this time, but a short almost-loop hike through the Kalmthoutse Heide on a snowy day. The trail was partly improvised, but I also followed a part of the GR5 through this beautiful landscape. Departure from train station Heide, arrival at train station Kalmthout.

By public transport: The Kalmthoutse Heide is easily accessible by direct train every hour from Brussels during the week, or indirectly via Antwerp-Central during the weekend. You can get off and on in both Heide and Kalmthout.
